Program Description

Event Details

Who We Are: We are a nonprofit organization with a mission to equip both scientists and the public with the resources to bring brain health into the next generation.

Goal: It is never too early (or too late) to learn what the brain does and how to take care of it. We at Generation Brain want to share why the brain is so important and what scientists are learning about keeping our brains healthy during a free, all-ages event for the Quogue community.

Event Overview

Children: For children attending, Generation Brain members will lead small groups in hands-on activities exploring what the brain is and how it works.

Activities will include:

  • Making pipe cleaner brain cells and coloring brain drawings
  • Exploring the structure of brains using models and plasticized brains
  • Examining brain slices with a microscope
