The Quogue Library Summer Series continues with Admiral Philip A. Dur USN retired, author of Between Land and Sea: A Cold Warrior’s Log, in conversation with the Honorable Peter Sartorius.

Published in May 2022, Admiral Dur’s book recounts his 30-year experience in the US Navy. It includes the challenges of commanding ships and a Carrier Battle Group, strategy and policy assignments, leading the navy’s strategy division and serving as Director of Political Military Affairs on the NSC staff, advising and briefing President Ronald Reagan on critical events in the Middle East and his assignment as a US Defense attaché in Paris as the Cold War ended and the Persian Gulf War erupted.

Peter Sartorius served as Mayor of Quogue for 13 years after retiring from the Philadelphia law firm Morgan, Lewis and Bockius in 2006.

Their conversation will be followed by a Q&A and reception with book sales and signing. $10 Per person.
