Please join Gerry Byrne, Vice Chairman and Board Member of the Penske Media Corporation, and debut author Charlie Stanton, for a conversation about How the Jester Became King: Dave Portnoy & the Unauthorized Real Story of Barstool Sports

Gerry Byrne is an entrepreneur and communications executive with extensive experience in launching and managing global media enterprises.

Charlie Stanton spent his childhood summers in Quogue. He graduated from Wake Forest University with honors in Economics. His debut novel, How The Jester Became King, details Portnoy’s 20-year controversial Barstool Sports adventure and unpredictable rise to fame and fortune from handling newspapers alone in a dirty subway station, to selling his digital media company for half a billion dollars, and then buying it back for $1. Critics have praised Stanton’s “breezy and engaging style that reads well and quickly.”

Author conversations begin at 5:00 PM followed by a Q&A and a wine reception, book sales and signing.
